I'm happy to be on the wrong side of this one for the following reasons:
1. It makes me wonder if either magnesium or sulfate alone is the catalyst for the increase of CCK. SOme day I will poke around for comparative studies on plain magnesium.
2. Im surprised no one has caught this before... Since the basic idea of the Clark Liver Flush is low fat to build up bile pressure, I have to wonder was Clark aware or not that mgso4 is a bile stimulant. I would guess no?
I still say that Epsom Salts alone are not a strong stimulant, otherwise no one would need oil to get the junk out.
When I wrote that response originally it did occur to me that Epsom Salts are bitter and all bitters are known to stimulate bile. But then again is sulfate actually bitter, it's not quite like herbal bitters.
