I suppose you could try any cold-pressed oil. Probably any will work. People have used flax or others successfully.

The only study that I know of showed that specifically cold-pressed high oleic (olive) oil resulted in the strongest gallbladder contractions.

Gold coin grass is just a dissolver, it won't stimulate contractions.

Julia Chang's website has good information on gcg.

Don't discount the power of food medicine, like apple cider, beets, etc. Also taurine and lecithin.

Some olive oils are slightly less or more viscous than others. Italian I find to be slightly lighter with more acidity. Greek oils are usually heavier.

You could also just use more lemon or grapefruit juice to cut the oil further. Or just man up, the swigging only lasts a few seconds.
