They r not released. No one releases these parasitic wasp. They r found naturally in nature.
These tiny wasp seek out the ants, then lay eggs in the ant. the eggs hatch in the ant. The wasp eats the ant from the inside out.
I too have thought about the stinging sensation being from these tiny wasps.
I've not seen very many people talking about it tho.
Anyway no one is releasing them. They r just a natural part of nature.
