why cant you prove god exists? for the same reason you cant prove a person has a soul or a spirit. it cant be seen. you have to get to know it by observing what it does. the only way you can observe a persons spirit is if you believe they have one. otherwise, why would you look?

god is a spirit, so one must really look hard to get to know him. and what does the bible say?

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

otherwise:

Leviticus 19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

and of course:

Deuteronomy 6:5
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

that way your choice os clear and your not doing it to get favors or save your own skin but out of a true desire to get to know the creator. Tweet
