I think Iodoral is an excellent idea. I'm glad you mentioned it. Using it was how my breast cyst was sent on its way. The minimum to work up to is 100 mg. That would be 8 of the 12.5-mg tablets, or 2 of the 50-mg tablets. Both tablets can be snapped in two, so that half a 50-mg tablet can substitute for 2 12.5-mg tablets.
If your stomach could tolerate Lugol's solution, that would be a more budget-conscious choice. In that case you would work up to a minimum of 16 drops for the 100-mg dose.
For Iodoral, start with one 12.5-mg tablet for two weeks to test for tolerance. If you're okay, raise to two. Get a feel for how fast you're comfortable raising according to detox symptoms or lack thereof.
Consider reading Lynne Farrow's "The Iodine Crisis." She did an enormous amount of research -- some of it on this forum -- to explore how Iodine works for breasts, ovaries, and thyroid. You'll find the book chock full of information, support, and personal stories.
