Why 15 minutes for CE coffee?


I've noticed that the 15 minute simmering recommended in most Coffee-Enema recipes results in burnt coffee. I believe burning the coffee damages many of the antioxidants. Does anyone know why such a long brew is recommended? I notice get perfectly strong coffee in 5 minutes on minimal heat.
