I'm on day 35 of a water only fast right now! I did not begin to show any symptoms of depleted electrolytes until I reached day 32. On day 32 I began to get a few symptoms such as tingling in the fingers and toes, coldness on the extremities, and day 33 I was feeling mild chest pains. This was down to depleted electrolytes, the chest pain was directly linked to low calcium. So I went supplement shopping that day, bought some pure electrolyte powder and picked up some calcium supps with added magnesium. From yesterday I have been taking the electrolytes plus a calcium supp, and this afternoon I am going to soak in an Epsom Salt bath for half an hour. (The magnesium soaks in through your skin) These supps have really helped me, the tingling had gone, as is the cold and I've no more chest pains, so I feel good to continue. Which is great because I know there is still healing to be done, still fat stores to be used up, and I am still around 10lbs short of my weightloss goal.
