Re: Can Iodoral raise cortisol?

Some of your earlier symptoms could also be explained by high catecholamines, especially when you felt better decreasing coffee consumption. It would also be true that with high cortisol, taking Thorne Adrenal Cortex would be contraindicated, since Adrenal Cortex supports adrenals to produce hormone as optimally as possible, and you wouldn't want more cortisol in your system.

Have you been diagnosed with high cortisol? It's an important condition to be clear about.

That being said, if you have an underlying inflammatory condition of your thyroid, Iodine can contribute to the inflammation without selenium and other nutritional support. And that could give rise to feelings of discomfort.

If Iodoral is supporting more thyroid hormone production, that could explain a rise in heart rate. Also, you can have a fast heart rate if you need salt. Salt can be very important, combined with sufficient water, to help detox whatever Iodoral stirs up.
