Re: For All Eternity! Jesus is the eternal sabbath.

BeenThere, I care about you very much. I have known you for many years here at curezone. But having said that, I must say that I don't however feel as though I really know your thoughts well enough. I think you have shared enough with me today to where I think I understand a possible reason why now. I never seem to know what direction you are taking the conversation sometimes, and that always makes a person in a "debate" forum feel uneasy.

I understand romans 14:22 and have applied it in some ways in my life. I have loved ones who will not eat pork due to religious reason. (no they are not jewish or muslim) I do try and respect their ideas by not bringing pork items to their homes or eating it in front of them. I think what we are dealing with is a matter of respecting people's right to believe what they want to. However, I hope you understand that when christians debate, we do it with the understanding that we will still love each other even if we disagree.

I know by your history you have said before that you use to go to church, but you left. I can't remember the reason why, or whether you even shared that. All I know is you share in such a manner than I don't always understand your personal phrases that you use to explain with. Please forgive me for being so "churchy", for I spend more time with people who believe more like myself and we have our own language, so to speak. I'm like anyone else is, I don't care to look foolish for no reason, but if it's truly because you want to chat christianity with me, then I will try my best to have a good conversation with you.

You mention God a lot. Now you say "my lord/mentor" tells you to keep understanding between yourself and Him. I am only assuming you are talking about Jesus, yet I don't hear you speak His name very much, other than in scripture. I do not call myself a lord and I don't think of myself as a lord. Perhaps when I receive my reward in heaven, I may receive a title of some type, but for now, I reserve that title for Jesus. So because I don't understand how you are using that term, I am hesitant in getting too deep into discussion with you. Do you understand what I'm saying?

To be honest, you speak as though you believe that all people are saved (or will be saved in the end) due to what Jesus did on the cross for us. That is called Universalism, but I don't know what form of Universalism. Is that what you believe?
