No, not all the popcorn ceilings have asbestos in them. We had popcorn ceilings too when we bought our house, but we had it tested, and it was clear of asbestos. But our house had burned down somewhere in the seventies and was not rebuilt until 1979 which was after the asbestos laws came into place. The house my dad bought has the older stuff though so it very may well have it. He probably won't get it tested though, so I'm just going to insist on them using full protection to be on the safe side. Tweet
