Re: Lisa's Journey: Theory of My Disease

I strongly encourage you not to guess about MTHFR. Find out. Your doctor should have access to blood testing, or you can order 23andMe yourself. This would give you almost as much information as you need about many genetic issues, but you would need help decoding it.

Dr. Benjamin Lynch is one resource.

Likewise, don't guess about adrenal health. Do a saliva cortisol test and get it evaluated. There are many adrenal forums that can help. Generally, result 1 should be in the top 10% of the range; result 2 should be about 75% of the range; result 3 should be just about 50% of the range; and result 4 should be at the bottom of the range.

Virginia Hopkins gives access to ZRT Labs, whose results I trust. She offers the test either on her own web site or on Amazon.
