Re: Noob to this site, parasites.

Antibiotics ....I wrote before about excess use of Antibiotics , to select one you are comfortable with and dont use an arsenal of different kinds, so you will have some to work for you in the future if you ever get sick......
now, excess use, one round of that Antibiotic (5-7 days)before the first time treating for parasites should be enough, then just one day or two days worth of that same one after each treatment time, like if you repeat for a life cycle a week or two later. No need for a full run....easier on your body and gut microbes you want to keep as much as possible.

Now this is for infection prevention, prophylactic use, this is not for a known current infection......example if you had strep throat then you would need a longer round depending on the Antibiotic and you cant just take a day or two worth for prevention, the rules are different depending on what you are doing....ok, so for known infection treatment you need to do it better and more correctly.

bactericidal at regular dosage ...cephalexin, amoxicillin, augmentin (hard on gut flora, augmentin)...
bacteriostatic at regular doses....bactrim, clindamycin, azithromycin....

you can look up more complete lists

there are no good fungicidal meds, unless you are in the hospital with an IV...everything you could even try to get your hands on outside of that is primarily fungistatic......with the exception of diflucan for vaginal yeast infections, that is fungicidal due to the vaginal tract being more acidic than the rest of the body, so only there is diflucan fungicidal....
