There are so many forms of magnesium, it can be personalized to what works best for you. My sister likes magnesium taurate as it smooths her heart rhythm. She likes magnesium glycinate for sleep. I like magnesium malate for smooth energy through the day, but magnesium citrate at bedtime for sleep. Magnesium chloride is found in liquid preparations such as ReMag. ReMag was very efficient for raising my magnesium levels, but I could not tolerate the chloride over time. Magnesium glycinate is too stimulating for me to sleep with. Some people find that magnesium citrate stimulates their bowels too much.
Start with some form of it and let your body speak to you. It's worth the journey :)
