Re: Dividing Monthly Moxidectin dose into 5 daily doses

Its actually in ucg/kg I think.

It is written this way, so that people who were overdosing get to see what tiny doses add up to over a period of just a few days.

Yea, it could have a weight box and dial input, but remember, most people do half a turn of the wheel. 3/4 turn of the wheel is quite a bit.

If you turn your dial to your weight, and count the turns, it represents the dose of 400ucg/kg

If you turn the dial 1/4 of the total turns, it represents 100ucg/kg

If you turn the dial 1/8 of the total turns (to your weight) it represents 50ucg/kg.

Since the half-life is days not hours, it accumulates in the body.

The purpose of the XLS is to allow one to predict how much is in the body, after dosing fractions of a turn each day. After a couple of weeks of these tiny turns, you are set for a couple of months.
