I'm concerned about the 1-3 teaspoons of salt, even good Redmond's salt, unless you have aldosterone issues. That would take a lot of water in order to be useful, else it sort of clogs up your system. If you want more energy, try lowering the salt to no more than 3/4 teaspoon and drink plenty of water with it. Some of the weight gain could be water weight from all the salt. My husband feels very lackluster if he uses 1 teaspoon of salt and anything short of about 120 ounces of water. Give it 5 days before you decide you don't feel any differently.
