You mean Armour the thyroid hormone replacement, right?
Are you taking any other supplements besides iodine?
The best way to wean off thyroid hormone is very very slowly.
Take a lot of vitamins, a very complete multivitamin and a b-complex. Sounds simple and obvious, but the vitamin thing is supremely important. Take iron, you need it to make thyroid hormone. Not all multivitamins have iron. You may want to do some vitamin "loading" first before you even go off the hormones.
Get plenty of protein, and take a tyrosine supplement.
Don't drink ANY alcohol at all, because it will lower thyroid hormones and use up vitamins. Completely avoid sugar, because it will also use up vitamins.
Give yourself four months to get off the replacement hormones, or longer if you can. Maybe cut the pills up into tiny pieces.
