If you can get to a point where you dont mix it with water and drink it straight, that is best. The first couple of dosages might be rough, but you might find it an acquired taste. I guess I am one of the lucky ones in that I liked the taste the first time. Believe it or not, it was about 4 pure ounces and I was actually a little disappointed I didnt have more. From what I've read, about 8-10 ounces a day seems to be the most optimal. Even with 10 ounces a day, I find myself wanting more, which I think means my body is benefitting from the urine. I would suggest to try upping your amount and to try to drink it pure. If you can soldier through what might be a rough couple of times, then you should be on your way. If not, maybe your body doesnt need the urine therapy at this time. You know many athletes swear by its powers and what it does for them when they compete.
