Re: Emotionlessness for the Lord?

Vek: Well Dr. Brown supports both the NAR and Word of Faith, so I doubt he's going to have a balanced view.

Ed: The question is, without coming into it with a predetermined bias against him, do you feel he has a balanced view on this particular video :).

VEK: No, because Jesus Culture, who he was trying to say were just some innocent group of youngsters for the most part just wanting to praise and worship the Lord, is not so innocent like he says and if he doesn't know that, he needs to do a little more investigating before defending them. Jesus Culture is a huge part of the NAR with all the false NAR teachings.

I wrote a post about Jesus Culture after the initial conversation about this. I don't know if you saw that or not but in that post I talk about how on the opening night of a recent Jesus Culture conference they had Jentezen Franklin as the main speaker. Jentezen Franklin is great buds with Joel Osteen, and they preach at each other's churches. Joel Osteen doesn't believe Jesus is the only way for salvation, along with unending other heretical teachings. I don't know what all Jentezen Franklin teaches, but if he is great buds with Joel Osteen and preaching at his church, I don't need to know anything else. So Jesus Culture is not innocent according to what I see at all. So to defend them as innocent is not a balanced view in my opinion.
