Re: Mockers are the least open and most difficult people to help.

The thing is, we are called to give the true gospel regardless of what someone will do with that truth. If you see people abusing that truth, you don't say, "Oh, well we must change the truth of the gospel, because we see people will abuse it!"

There will always be frauds, etc. in the church that take the gospel message of grace through faith and make a mockery of it. But we keep on preaching it anyway! The true believers will believe it, and their lives transformed by it, and that's what matters. Forget about the other people. They will always be there, but you are not going to change them by distorting the gospel in fear of them. It's ridiculous that people think that and they show that they don't believe the true gospel themselves and the power of it, and think that a false gospel will fix this problem.

Pastors have abandoned the true gospel over and over out of fear that their congregation will go wild if they really preach the freedom in Christ and the true message of grace. And we wonder what's wrong with the church? Maybe if they would stick to the true gospel, no matter the cost, there might be some powerful change.

And Ed, the "head knowledge" and me thinking I'm a "bible expert" charges when I'm only talking about the simple gospel in this thread is crazy to me. I'm not talking about some technical minor subject here. This is about the gospel! It's major! The Sermon on the Mount is major and we need to get to the bottom of what Christ was really saying in that sermon. That might require some studying. But oh no, that's of the devil. Let's not study it, and find out the true meaning, but let's use it however we see fit to deceive people with. That's more Christ-like and there can be no charge of being a self-perceived "bible expert" and let's add on "bible worshipper" to that too, right?
