Re: Stop supplements for PCR test?
Positive Mind is correct. PCR is a newer technology that detects DNA of the organism so unless your supplements have killed the organisms then there would be no point in stopping them.
Do be aware that there are holes in the PCR models. This is not to say they are inaccurate, quite the opposite is true in that this testing can find a needle in a haystack. The problem is that they must find a match that exists in their databank. So if the DNA in the stool matches the e. histolytica model in their databank then you get a positive for e histolytica.
However if you have a
parasite that is not in their databank then you will get a negative. They only catalog known infective species, so if you have a species that has not been identified...
Some labs may find DNA sequences that are common in say worms. So most worms would carry a similar DNA code in certain areas but have different expressions elsewhere. This means that they could tell you are carrying a worm but cannot identify the specific species. I do not know if that lab can do that.
PCR is better than microscopy in most cases since microscopy is dependent on visual evidence in the stool so if you are not shedding then no luck but with PCR the DNA can be found easily.
ParaWellness is a very good lab to choose using microscopy techniques. Do remember that some people may have to test with several labs, in the cases of unknown identity then it is better to bomb with different protocols. Remedies are different for each subset of pathogens, for instance I would approach a worm infection completely different than a protozoa infection and a bacterial infection would be different than the other two.
It is a better idea to bomb with multiple remedies rather than depending on a single remedy. Most of the remedies posted regularly are not effective and this comes from over 5 years of reading and experimentation.
parasites are not easy to get rid of and may require a disciplined and persistent approach.
