I'm working with a nutritionist who deals with patients with thyroid/adrenal issues. We are doing a supplement protocol first for 6 weeks with digestive enzymes, mag citrate, neuro calm and thorne basic nutrition vitamins. I also changed probiotics too.
It seems my results for my saliva test are at the low end for all 4 times, and low for DHEA. What is the best treatment plan for this? Is Hydrocortisone my only hope, or can I do something natural (herbs/supplements/adaptogens)
I had a partial thyroidectomy in March 2015, diagnosed hypothyroid May 2015, have felt crappy since then. Any advice/input is appreciated! I have my next blood test for my Primary care doctor on 12/28 - he is an internal/fuctional medicine doctors who is open to me self treating my hypothyroidism with thyroid S.
Would Adrenal Cortex help? I know the Thorne one, but using that in the recommended dosage (3,2,1,1 throughout the day) would mean a bottle of 60 pills would only last 10 days! Are there any other brands of Adrenal Cortex that I can take less pills?
