They said he caught a non lethal form of pancreatic cancer early, which if was treated was curable in most patients.
There is so much missing here, how do they catch a non lethal form of cancer with so much luck? Apparently he went in for something routine and they saw it by chance, which usually does not happen during a routine examination.
Anyway he chose not to treat it with conventional medicine and did probably most everything mentioned on this forum to shortly (a year?) die later on. Though I wouldn't conclude alternative medicine 'lengthened' his life, as this wasn't the typical deadly form of pancreatic cancer that is aggressive and does not respond to conventional treatment.
I believe alternative medicine certainly has some healing to it, its proven in many studies, but in this case hindsight is 20 20 from what happened to Steve.
