I received a legal notice in my mailbox regarding a class action inspection fee settlement... It was post card sized and mixed in with the coupons and advertisements. It very easily could have been discarded as "junk mail", and I'll bet that's what WF is counting on.
The notice states that qualifying "Class Members" will ~automatically~ receive a payment for the unnecessary property inspections that were carried out during their foreclosure processes. The only thing Members have to do is - NOTHING.
By doing doing NOTHING and receiving your automatic payment, you will automatically be ,"legally bound by the settlement and the releases it entails", and no longer able to sue or continue to sue WF. I'm not sure if this means releasing WF from the property inspections alone, or releases them from ~anything~ to do with the entire foreclosure they put you through. ?
This seems rather sneaky in a conspiring sort of way, don't you think?
We have until December 22nd, 2015 to exclude ourselves from the "Class Action Property Inspection Fee" lawsuit if we wish. We would not receive a settlement payment, but would still have the right to sue WF for other wrongful acts.
