Yes lol, we normally complain about the physical working jobs and can't wait for more sit-down mental ones. But it sounds like your example will speak volumes. Good for you. :)
I don't know what that book was all about, other than a little knowledge about the author's take on the end times. I was just letting you know in case it sounded different than what I have shared with you. Also I just wanted to share with you the varying ideas. However I will confess that Amillennialism is my least liked of the bunch.
Prophecy is full of all kinds of imagery to cloak the Truth away from those who would want to try and change God's plan. However, for those who seek and put their trust in Jesus, it will be revealed. Usually not all at once, since it is a journey where we are walking hand in hand with Jesus as He reveals things to us. To me that is why reading the bible and walking with Jesus is never boring. Always something new to discover.
The Christian religion is what it is. A group of people on that journey, who see things at their own level of understanding. No one is perfect in understanding, other than Jesus. I may have very strong opinions about things, but I would never ask you to follow me, even though I share what I believe with all. Always look to Jesus and much of His wisdom can be found in the bible.
If we expect perfection in the christian religion, we will only be disappointed. Only in the saving grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus is where our eyes should turn in faith. The people are the true church...the bride of Christ.
Ephesians 5:25-27
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
