That's ok, I was just giving you my take on what you said. I'm looking forward to you sharing what you read and discussing it. :)
I believe that I read that the author has his beliefs in Amillennialism. Which will sound a little different than how many of my posts read I think. I try and keep an open mind about this part of understanding scripture. I'm more of a post-tribulational premillennialist in my understanding of scripture. I do believe Jesus will return one day...but unlike some christians that believe they will be raptured out of all the chaos of the tribulation and dealing with the anti-christ, who will try and sit in the physical temple in Jerusalem. I believe if we are still alive, we will witness all these things before Jesus returns.
However, that being said, I believe that spiritually we are already suppose to be living our lives as though the Kingdom of God is already here because the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts...despite the fact that we live in a fallen world.
When Jesus returns then all things will be made right because He will be our King over all the earth and not a bunch of mere men who can not lead God's people correctly.
However, I'm expecting someone to come first who is the false King. He will claim he is a god and look down on the true Savior of the world. So there is no way to confuse him with the coming of Jesus Christ if you are expecting the false to come first. However, many that do not know Jesus will be fooled by him and follow him. And before he is revealed as the anti-christ, many christians may be fooled by his lies and think they want to follow him and his system as well. That is why we must have great discernment in these days, so we will not fall for the lies of the system of the anti-christ. For there have already been many anti-christs...but there will be a final one before Christ Jesus returns.
You can look at the chart here to see the different ways of looking at end times and Jesus returning.
