I'am 19 years old (male) and I had eczema as a baby, but it went away until I was 14 years old. Now I'am struggling with it for 5 years and it got pretty bad (I have it pretty much all over my body). I tried many things, but nothing helped really that great. Now i'am trying a water fast. I'am in my 2nd day and I'am SUPER weak, but my eczema got already better. I dont know if that is just random or due to the waterfast. I have read that it should first go worse and then better, maybe its because of my fast metabolism? I'am still itching, but it doesnt oozes as much anymore and at night the itching isnt as bad anymore. I have the feeling that my inflammation went down a bit.
My plan is to waterfast (I dont know how long, but I guess my body will tell me, but I dont think that I can handle a long time, I'am already feeling extremely weak) and after that switch to a healthy Diet without grains, dairy, processed food and stuff like that. Pretty much only vegetables, fish, meat and fruit.
And by the way I noticed that my Acne (I dont have really bad one, just a few pimples on my face and shoulders) went down a bit. But that was to expected because when I tried a grain/dairy-free diet before (I did some things wrong, so that is probably the reason why my eczema just disappeard by ~40%) my Acne went pretty much away.
So yeah maybe my eczema will get better due to the water fast, maybe not. All I can do is wait and drink water. The next days will be pretty fcking hard..
