I have posted a number of articles about this pastor and some others because I wanted to bring attention to the ever growing problem of christians being thrown in prison for crimes they did not commit. I know there are many posts on this forum about pastors that are wolves in sheep's clothing, but I'm the type that believes in finding "balance". Not all is as it seems at times. There are so many people who naturally believe the people in authority before they believe the person arrested. It depends how well you know someone. If it is a family member or dear friend you have known for years and you know their true character...you will question authority's wisdom. Others who are only acquaintances in their lives may however, because they don't know them well enough, stand with the authorities and believe the person is guilty until proven otherwise.
I personally think that has to be the hardest thing for an incarcerated person to deal with is the lack of support from their fellow christian family and friends as they suffer alone. Only a strong faith in Christ can pull them through in their time of solitude. So many in the real "Truth" movement have been blessed by that faith.
