First, how do you measure 12.5 drops? Or is it 12.5 mg? If latter, it would be 2 drops.
2 drops Iodine has nothing to do with your sugar. You have to give more information about your diet in order for one to comment. It is reported in many journals that Iodine actually lowers your blood sugar, google it.
It could be one time thing or your Sugar is high all the time. I would get a blood Sugar meter and monitor it everyday, upon waking, 1 hour and 2 hours after eating a meal.
