Re: still having trouble with depression...

bummer! :-(

Are you moving a lot? still exercising three times a week? what about your water intake? It should be (IMO and many others) about 1/2 of your total body weight in OZ's. So if you weigh 120 = 60 oz per day. This is *before* dehydrating activities like coffee and exercise.

This stuff is the real deal! I found that water and seal salt alone drastically increase my energy and mood.

What about your omega-3's? Are you getting enough? flax oil?

put some in your morning smoothy!! :)

And be sure to remember, the effects of healthy eating are not felt over night. Once you start on the path, you will feel some ups but also some downs. The key is to stick with it no matter what the cost(!) As time goes on and you continue to eat well and continue to do good things for your body, your body slowly starts to become more alkalinized.. not just the blood but the TISSUE! Once everything gets back on track and things are normalized, everyhting will be absorbed more efficently and you will notice that the UPS *far* outweigh the downs.

But life can be tough, so there are always a few downs here and there. That is what "coping skills" are for which I am sure you know.

Sending Light. Hang in there!!!

ps- if the 5htp is not effective, there is another substance which I actually prefer called "L-Tryptophan". It is a bit hard to find in the states. I order it from here: http://www.antiaging-systems.com/a2z/ltryptophan.htm
It is another pre-cursor to serotonin, is actually the amino found in food which our bodies turn into serotonin. The biochemical process is: L-Tryptophan(in food)-->5HTP-->Serotonin (happy juice)
There are people who also swear by "Sam-e" but I have never tried it. Ask your nutritionist friend about it! http://www.antiaging-systems.com/a2z/same.htm
(pps- you don;t need to order sam-e from the above website. any health food store will have it)
