Re: Embarking on monthly water fast -support and experiences more than welcome

Cathy7,

The fast will heal your current condition of bingeing if you follow true water only fast. Your weight is normal, that is a good thing to start a fast. The other thing you can do is to eat plant based foods for ten days or more and do not eat any processed foods. Go on a water only fast. Do not take any supplements or electrolytes or salt. If you do, you will go back to normal habits of eating after you brake your fast. Your body and more so your mind needs to be in balance. Fats will do that for you.

Breaking the fast is one thing I go by is Dr. Shelton book. Organic orange, watermelon, tomato or grapefruit juice. Only eat as per hunger. Then build up your appetite.

I would not worry about losing weight beyond a set limit. What if you feel true hunger on day 28 or 29 or 32?

Just take one day at a time. Also I feel that you need to talk to a professional since you have history of Bulimia.

Good luck. Keep posting here to help yourself and others who may learn from your experience.
