Re: Coming off Celexa

Hi and hope wean off is going well.

YES! The natural foods and pH stuff DEFINITELY helps with the chemicals! The way theh body actually creates the chemicals is through our diet. L-Tryptophan makes Serotonin, L-Tyrosine makes Dopamine, etc (although I am oversimplifying a bit). and having the acidic crud out of your life helps in more ways that I can list, but one of the most important is helping the proper metabolism/breakdown of all the foods so the neurochemicals get make in abundance.

There are a bunch of great books on Alkline/Acid balance, and there is a forum here about it as well. :)

Once you are completely off of your meds for a few weeks, you may want to try some 5HTP. It is the chemical which L-Tryptophan is broken down into right before your body makes it into Serotonin. I take 2 of the 50 mg tabs a couple times per day. There is also some St. John's Wart in the mixture I buy.

I imagine http://www.puritan.com has some great deals on it. The last I checked, they were offering a buy_one_get_2_free sale.

Best of luck!

Oh, and a lot of skin conditions are a result of toxicity, "leaky-gut" and such things. I woudl recommend Hulda Clark s "liver cleanse" for starters. And check out the forum here on "psoriasis". Not what you have but may offer some insight as to combatting skin disorders.

Light to You,

Brian
