Making own lugo's solution.

Hello everybody,

I have a question about preparing my own Lugol's solution.
I got 10grams of Iodine crystals and I got only 15grams of pottassium iodide... as I understand I should add 200ml of water.

I have 2 questions.
The ratio I read is 20gr of potassium Iodide to 10gr of Iodine crystal
As I dont have a scale would it be a problem if I only add 15gr?
I thought the pottassium is only added to make the Iodine more easy soluble.

2nd question is.. I have de Ionized Water instead of distilled water does that matter?

The solution will mainly be used for scar healing.
