Re: TSH levels, sodium iodide symporters etc

Well, I was looking at your other posts, especially those where Ferventerer had given you some straight talk.

The problem may likely be diet-related. Vegan diet means your body must work that much harder to manufacture amino acids. Are you straight vegan, lacto-ovi vegetarian, our wot?

This would be completely ideal in a pre-flood environment with perfect soil profiles and the extra thickness of the ozone and ice layers stopping many of the factors our bodies now contend with.

Iodine has plenty of roles in the metaboliysis of amino acids. It may be what specifically maintains your metabolism while you are veganing.

Of course, this subject borders religion and philosophy. ;)

Do you make sure to sprout your grains, flax seed, chickpeas and the like? That can continue to aid the nutritional profile of your diet.

Other than that, organic, undenatured cow or goat milk whey with a quality protein-digesting enzyme supplement can help with amino acid profiles. Houston enzymes AFP pep is my preferred. It also unlocks a lot more amino acids from plant-derived proteins.

Peas are the vegetable food which has one of the nicest amino acid profiles... But amino acid food profiles is something you can research too. :)

Houston enzymes are plant and fungal derived, cold extracted enzymes. You may be able to make better use of your current diet with advanced digestion support.
Be careful not to delude yourself with guesswork when it comes to your own enzyme production levels- just journal and ponder, get the tests done that you can.

Been lucky enough to get a time for a consultation with an IOM certified doctor here in Aarhus myself. :)
Also have the stop the thyroid madness book on its way in the mail...

TSH is a steroid growth hormone. Growth.. The body is demanding stronger growth of the thyroid to compensate for less iodine.. That's what makes me think of the amino acid cycle. Digestive enzymes are conjugated of amino acids and nutrients.
