I had a very similar issue with AF. I found that my cortisol was flipped, high at night which kept me up at night, and low in the morning so no energy. Took me a while to figure it out. One of the keys to healing AF is getting a good nights sleep. There were a few supplements that I took to help with the high cortisol. One was Seriphos which will normalize or lower high cortisol so you can sleep. The other one is Holy Basil an adaptogen that helps get rid of the nervous feeling by lowering excess adrenaline/cortisol. The last one is GABA which relaxes the brain and the whole body making it much easier to fall asleep and also lowers cortisol to some degree. I had to play with dosages to figure out what would work best starting with the lowest possible dosage and going up from there.
BTW I was taking licorice until I found out that it can raise cortisol!
