Well, did strongyloides come out positive on the ELISA test?

If it is the filaria, then from the reports I've seen (which I'm following) a course of 6 weeks of doxycycline should be done BEFORE Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin and Albendazole are done at the end of the 6 weeks. This is to kill as many of the microfilaria as possible, first. The reports and studies I've seen say that the doxycycline greatly reduces or eliminates the Mazzatti reaction.

Perhaps you just had too big of a die off.

But, by all means, discuss this with your doctor!!!
