Re: Strange Shadow
No sound. It moved along beside the road briefly for a short way going a little bit faster than I was traveling and then vanished. The shadow was traveling on the grass next to the road. I was out east of the city a few miles north of the airport. It would not have surprised me to see several planes in the sky when I looked up. But there were none. I did not pull over and get out of my car to look up, as I was tempted to, because the shadow had disappeared from the grass. The disappearing of it is what made me lean forward and look up. I was wondering where it went. But what was the point of pulling over and getting out if the shadow had vanished? I had a pretty good view of about half the sky from my car. I did make a mental note that there was no sound associated with such a big shadow.
I wish I could describe this better. I was driving and noticed a shadow in my peripheral vision on the grass by the highway and it was going the same direction as me and faster than me. It was triangular shaped and about the size of three cars. I immediately thought it was a plane leaving the airport which was behind me, and there was no sound. I used to live right by the airport and those planes made a lot of noise. When it got a little ways ahead of me, it just disappeared. No more shadow on the ground. First it was there, and then it was not. Poof. No more shadow. I was startled. So I looked up in the sky. Clear blue. No clouds. No sound. Nothing. Just a shadow going faster than me by the side of the road that suddenly disappeared. There was nothing in the sky when I looked up. Maybe there was when the shadow was there, because I was looking at the shadow on the ground.
Whether a plane was cloaked or it simply disappeared, makes no matter. It was still a weird shadow anomaly. I have never seen anything like it.
