I use black strap molasses to sweeten my tea. You get used to the taste although it is a bit strong and the color is so dark it stains a white cup a bit - but easy to wash off. Also, I've read that there are some great health benefits like it helps maintain hair color and sometimes can turn graying hair back to it's natural color! I'm starting to go a little gray so I was happy to read that. One tbsp a day will do the trick. It has iron and potassium.
