A few common sense tips: Acid is plenty on an empty stomach in a.m. Reaching for coffee first will increase acid. Water may dilute acid some but also expands acid. (That is why it worsens GERD symptoms)
Take a bicarb (baking soda and warm water) to stabilize acid (equalize pH) or drink warm lemon water FIRST to tweak toward alkaline pH. (lemon is highest alkaline you can ingest).
Probiotic therapy requires warrior-like approach. Kefir, plain yogurt (no added sugars) and green drinks as well as a supplement if you choose. Ingest all throughout day.
Avoid sugars/ carbs/ dairy which feed yeasts. A plant-based diet will support probiotic use. Also plant fiber after probiotic will create weight in bowel and spread throughout gut.
