Re: Diet To Eliminate Parasites
Hi everyone,
I'm posting for the first time and very curious about diet. I have a lot of
parasite symptoms but no conclusive evidence yet. My first doctor's appt is in three weeks, but I changed my diet already to what I've found in these forums because I couldn't take the GI pain any more. It's getting a little better!
So I'm wondering if people might weigh in on these issues which seem inconclusive:
- Are fermented foods helpful, like sauerkraut and horseradish? Not if you are fighting candida, but maybe in other cases? (Or kefir... it sounds good for you, but I want to avoid dairy!!) Is mustard fermented?
- What about beans and lentils? People seem to recommend avoiding them, I assume because of the starch... but they are such a good source of protein if you are stripping out meat, dairy, and grains. I'm afraid to live an active lifestyle, working out and lifting weights, etc. if I don't have good protein sources.
- I am a little scared of ingesting apple cider vinegar with the "mother" in it -- are those enzymes definitely helpful, or can they add to the problem?
My diet right now is pretty paleo: veggies, nuts, meat, plus anti-
parasite foods like garlic, pomegranate, coconut, almonds.
Thanks so much, everyone,
TT
