Re: Anyone try any of these natural alternatives? Yes but L-Tryptophan is not included in any of them.
sorry to hear how deep this struggle is for you.
as a starter, I must proclaim that you are much more involved and empassioned in your children's health and healing than mine ever were. This is wonderful news and even if she does not fully realize this and respect it now, she will in the future. I have a whole slew of issues due to the fact that my parents weren't really 'there' which I am ironing through as an adult so it is refreshing to hear that your caring is at this level.
Also, if you want to continue this discussion privately, just let me know via email which I have been receiving. :)
I think your question about the liver cleanse is valid and am surprised that no one responded. I'm not really sure how a lab would determine exact 'toxicity' but I can assure you that the stuff that came out of me was at least 'acidic'. I broke a few of them apart and touched with pH paper and they tested well below 7. As far as my own experience with it, I was underweight to an unhealthy degree and immediately after doing the cleanse, I suddenly had the appetite of my childhood back. I slowly gained 40
pounds which normalized my body out and although I have the same appetite and eat the same size meals now I am not gaining any more weight. I have read of such experiences the other way. I am a firm believer in the liver cleanse and urge you to click on the link here and read the entire page including the pictures of the autopsies of both livers and gallbladders choked with stones. The stuff that came out of me was the color of bile, stones, thousands of them, and it immediately affected my health in a positive way. Also, they looked like tiny replications of the pics of gallstones.
As far as what is supposed to be in the liver, it is essentially made of bilary tubing, which is used to make bile to digest our food. so my opinion of what is supposed to be in there, is little more than liquid bile(!) And the whole process of the cleanse makes perfect sense physiologically. the
Epsom Salt is a dilater and opens up this tubing a bit, and the oil then flushes through and carries anything which had been stuck inside the tubes out.
I wouldn't worry too much about this one. EVERYONE I have turned on to this has had positive results without exception. For me personally it has obviously led to the better digestion, metabolism and absorption of everything I eat, and I can also say that the vitamins and aminos I take daily seemed to be more effective afterwards. Another reason not to worry is that there are people in their 70's and 80's who have done the cleanse 100's of times and are in great health.
As far as your daughter, I am at a loss on any further advice I can give. :( She ultimately needs to want to help herself. If the subject line of your last email to me is something you are serious about, then contact me privately as I would be willing. :)
On a positive, it is not going to take *that much* for her to feel better via the nutrition and exercise route if she is in her 20's still. Her body is still producing a substantial amount of growth hormone and based on my rebound ability back in school, it was only the bare minimums I needed to meet to feel good. i am now only beginning to feel the effects of decreased growth hormone as I enter my early 30's, and noticing that it is taking more and more work to feel the same effects of well being and energy as my younger days. By the way, has she had a physical and blood work done recently? Thyroid checked out? It would be uncommon to experience problems that young, but always best to be sure.
Anyway, feel free to contact me privately and I will keep pondering this one and let you know if I come up with any additional advice to motivate her.
Good luck and keep trying!
Warmly,
Brian
