Sorry, just showing the reason why I think you chose to go to his grave. You are in agreement with him and his beliefs. He was once a calvinist and a 3rd degree mason...both of which you oppose. Edit: And Finney opposed as well later.
Again I say I don't like extreme calvinism, but calvin had some good things say. You know that I have been learning about the evils of freemasonry. He believed in the gifts of the Spirit. I don't find fault with this.
But after vektek has shared deep concerns about parts of NAR leadership teaching about their people going to graves and invoking the spirits of the dead to help them be better in their power of ministry...one has to ask...why Ed, did you go to Finney's grave? After all he was everything (in his beliefs) that would help you defeat what you saw as evil.
I thought you only visited IHOP a time or two...just for a visit to see what it was all about. I can understand thinking people are spiritual and praising the Lord and only seeing the good side with just a few visits...but you going to the grave of a minister of God...sounds like someone who is much more into NAR than the average "lets-see-what-it's-all-about" visitor. Have you been attending church services or special meetings where you are living now that is associated with Bill and his group or some similar group? Why would someone want to go with you to this grave? You do realize that his spirit is no longer there? Why would any power still be there when it's just his empty shell? That one scripture verse, does not mean that the power is in the bones. That more than likely was just a one time thing that God used to make a point. No where else in the bible does it say to do that.
