I think I know the answer to this question before I even ask it...but, is it okay to chew a piece of sugarfree gum for about five or ten minutes? I don't want to introduce chemicals into my system, but my mouth is so dry. I have a lemonade and bottle of water at my desk that I've been sipping to quench my dry mouth, but nothing is working. My co-workers come in to chat and I sound "sticky". Ick. Suggestions?
