Re: Dehydration of the brain can cause
Depression.
great post! from my own experience battling
Depression I totally agree! we are a chronically dehydrated nation and more people need to be made aware of the horrible effects of coffee, soda,
Sugar and all of the other lifestyle choices that lead to dehydration.
another thing that is crucial is our intake of minerals. I actually drink exclusively
Alkaline Water with a pH of 9 or higher. It not only supplies the body with crucial mineral missing in the diet, but it breaks down acidic waste in the body which builds up from a lifetime of bad habits. liver/kindney stones, arterial plaque and many other bad things in the body are simply little clumps of acid. I do the liver cleanse a few times a year and the last time I tested the pH of one of the stones. PURE ACID!
Have you ever tried 'trinity springs' water, in the yellow/orange bottle? It is not only alkaline, but it tastes delicious.
I used to drink distilled water only, but after researching alkalnity and our general malnourishment in crucial minerals, i switched to water with some minerals within ( which is what increaes the pH and makes it alkaline). The FDA's RDA for minerals is actually way off. Many of the people who live the longest on this earth, have the lowest incidenced of cancer and nearly all other diseases, have
Alkaline Water sources. This can easily be researched and I recommend people look into it themselves. There have been some profound studies conducted in such veins. For instance, in Japan there is a group of islands which contain some of the healthiest people on the planet (and longest living).. and in one area there is a gorup of islands which are all culturally the same, same people, same diet, same habits, etc, and they all essentially outlive us all and do not experience disease.. BUT THE PROFOUND PART is that a few of the islands have a natural water supply that is much more alkaline (higher pH) than those around it. AND THEY OUTLIVE THEIR NEIGHBORS BY A SIGNIFICAN AMOUNT!
Of course, Japan has know tis stuff about pH and alkalinity forever. They have been using ionizers to split their water for the past 50 years. We are only just starting to figure this out in the west.
The body does need to be hydrated, but it also needs to be ALKALINE! the blood has a pH of 7.4 and needs to maintain this even if it means leaching minerals from other parts of the bnody to do so.
Distilled water is supposed to have a pH of 7.0 which is neutral. I say 'supposed to' because during my research, I tested the pH of every type of bottled water I could find.. and some of the distilled was actually BELOW 7.0. I'm not sure why, but it was definitely the case. I have also read that distilled water causes more leaching from the plastic which bottles it than other types of water, especially alkaline water.
Trinity Springs water actually comes in a special type of bottle which elimiates leaching entirely.
I highly recommend you give it a try, or at least test the water you are drinking to make sure it is truly neutral. It is actually below the pH of the blood though, even at 7.0, neutral.
Alkaline living, which includes coral calcium, alkaline water, and plenty of exercise and deep breathing has been the most profound tool i have found to battle depression, low mood, low energy and illness.
It is amazing and I highly recommend people who don;t know this truth alther their lifestyle to acommodate alkalinity.
Other crucial data on coffee and soda is that it is pure acid. Coffee has a pH of 3.0 and soda is not much higher.
This information is not new age in the slightest. Neither is this: A tumor cannot survive in an alkaline environment. Also, people who get Cancer beceom highly acidic as is a general trend with all illnesses form my experience. Coral calcium and trinity have made all colds, flus and other sickness a veyr minor problem. Altering your pH kicks them in the ass immediately!
Best to All. Drink lots of water indeed, and make some/all of it alkaline. Not only is it great for you, but it tastes GREAT!
