Re: Anyone have experience with GI Effects stool tests or other functional medicine stool tests?

The thing that has me personally not wanting to test is the fact that you need to abstain from meds for a minimum of 4 weeks. Not only that but my insurance won't pay for meds unless I get a prior authorization from my primary care doctor, who's lab i need to use. I'm sure I'll end up having to go this route though eventually. I was thinking of even making a trip to NY to see Cahill, despite the horror stories.
I handed my lab a ton of samples, all that were rejected because they were either contaminated with toilet water or stored in a styrofoam cup. I'm not sure how that changes anything physically.. if someone is looking at a sample under a microscope, storing it in a styrofoam cup won't change anything... but whatever. Tweet
