I also take a lot of niacin which is supposed to be specific for overcoming alcohol addiction/cravings, although that's not the reason I started with it. I was never a big drinker but have gone through periods of having beer or wine daily.

Be sure you're getting all the co-supplements including salt and niacin. Magnesium is important for nerves and sleep. I take magnesium orally and also apply magnesium oil topically, especially on my feet before bed. (Magnesium is one of the nutrients drained by alcohol.)
