Re: Reduced craving for alcohol

I hope so too. Thanks for your response b3nault!

I had insomnia last night and I can't tell if it's from the Iodine energizing me or because I haven't been drinking. The last time I went through a period of abstinence, I had pretty bad insomnia. I also have been having really bad nightmares, but that was happening when I was still drinking so it must be from the Iodine kicking things up. It's interesting because the topics of the dreams are all things that I avoid in my daily life but need to deal with. I believe that this is the function of dreams, but it seems particularly significant lately. I used to be much more intuitive and spiritual before all the meds and health problems and i believe that toxins can block that kind of energy. I digress...

Yesterday I took 100 mg, but today I'm going to limit myself to 50 mg to see if that helps with insomnia. I will go back up after a week most likely. I might also take a couple days off if I have insomnia again tonight.

Also, my temp averaged 97.2 before I started Iodine. When I was on the low dose it hovered between 97.8 and 98 and since I increased my dosage on Sunday, it's been been between 98.7 and 99. I know it takes a long time for the metabolism to regulate, but this seems like a really good sign. I don't know if I should be concerned that it's over 98.6, but I actually feel less hot and sweaty at the higher temp.
