In that time the doctor suggested not to drink coffee since it was not good for the gallbladder. I figured that must have been around 1953.
May be I like the original post because
I have a 2.8cm gallstone, already for 15 years and I try to keep it under control and may be over the years have wondered is it safe. I do drink coffee :)
It mainly shows that people always have had trouble with gallstones, even at a healthier time. Now a days they say too soon your problem must be gallstones.
See Telman's biliary post that 50% of the people who had gallbladder surgery get the pain back after 2 years.
