I have yet to come across a study that tests 14 days of Albenz for roundworm, which is what is recommended here. Most studies use very short courses of Albenz (1-5 days), and report very high cure rates because they test too soon after treatment. Studies that use long term follow-ups (6 months to a year) generally find that most of the patients are still infected. The authors almost always blame reinfection, and do not even consider the possibility that the treatment with Albenz didn't work long-term. Tweet
