I think the real point of the simple diet is to eat really only one kind of thing for 14 days. My thought was to eat only fresh fruits/veggies (mostly in juice form) and the kicharee. I suppose you can add meat if you like, but you may find that it defeats your purpose. Then again, if you have issues with yeast/wheat like I do, maybe just cutting that out will be sufficient.
I guess what I'm saying is you'll have to try it and listen to your body. The simple diet is flexible and the important thing is to increase your intake of fresh fruits and veggies since they are the cleansing foods.
