The answer to your last question is most assuredly "YES".
I would say cancer spreads because the larger parasites that carry the viruses have not been killed off. Your key to stopping cancer is to kill off the parasites and remove their wastes from your colon and liver along with other poisons your liver has filtered out and walled off over the years. Once those 2 elimination pathways have been cleaned out and are working well, your body will clean out the rest automatically. It IS a long process, but wouldn't you rather be going UP in your health every day instead of DOWN? You have to get the colon working right again. Probiotics and fermented foods will help with that. It's a good guess that all diseases start in the colon. Bernard Jensen has a book out on that.

Herbs have many ionic minerals in them that the body can use as well as medicinal properties. It's very important to replace the minerals as the body can't use vitamins without them. Magnesium is a very important one. You can do supplemental magnesium in the maagnesium glycinate along with the herbals. French green clay, but add enough drinking water will help.
If I had no choice about water, I wouldn't use the softened water, I'd get a Berkey Filtering system as that's the next best thing to distilled water.
If you can't do any better, know that the clays are electrical and will bind to all the water contaminants. You can clean your water with clay, then filter it. Put a teaspoon or so of the clay int he water and let it sit overnight, then filter it through a coffee filter or the like. Use clays that have been purified, not some from your back yard.
